Clare Maguire

The latest singer to have a lot of potential success/pressure on her shoulders is Clare Maguire. Her album Light After Dark features her debut single Ain't Nobody and her newest The Last Dance. Her vocals are also featured on The Streets song Lock The Locks and also on Chase and Status' Midnight Caller.
Here's Ain't Nobody which has to be re-released this year. . and her newest song The Last Dance.

Brooke Fraser

Brooke Fraser has been one of New Zealand's biggest music stars since 2003 when she released her debut single Better. She has had 8 top 20 singles in New Zealand and in 2010 she had her first NZ number one with the gorgeous Something In The Water. She's in concert in Dublin's Sugar Club on April 9th.

Hot Mess!

Not the best week ever for me ever last week so I'm glad to do a music post today. I rediscovered Angie Stone's Wish I Didn't Miss you so it's my favourite song of the past seven days. I'm also like the current UK number one Price Tag by Jessie J featuring B.O.B. which I think is much better than her debut single. Sometimes it does an artist no harm not to have a number one with their debut single. An upcoming concert by her in Dublin sold out very quickly which dosen't happen a lot these days in Ireland. Thirty years later I'm starting to like Bob Geldof, his new single Silly Pretty Thing is very poppy and he performed it well on Ireland's The Late Late Show recently. The offical video is pretty awful but, well, Sir Bob can and deserves to do whatever he pleases. Sugarland sang Stuck Like Glue on The Late Late Show last Friday as well. I'm a bit like the Smash Hits! singles review page when I'm looking up videos to new songs on youtube. I like or don't like a song within the first twenty seconds or less The one new song that stood out this week was Hot Mess by Chromeo featuring Elly Jackson. It features the best lyrics of the week too; "I don't know what you want from me, I mean I'm not a bloody social worker". The video for that song is below as are the new videos by Jessie J and Bob Geldof.
